James Elaine, an international artist and curator, has lived in Beijing since 2008. The combination of his extensive knowledge of contemporary art with the experience of traveling in China and throughout Asia offers an immense resource to share with AIR Beijing residents. His ease with the Chinese language and culture has allowed him to build a vast network of relationships within the art world, one upon which students may further build.

Program coordinator Joyce Yu-Jean Lee is a bilingual artist and will work alongside Elaine to oversee all logistical aspects of the program.
